The latest release from Atlas in this series is a Guy Warrior flatbed truck originally issued in 1958 and withdrawn in 1964. The model is glazed so replicates a model issued from 1960 onward. This should not be confused with an earlier Dinky issued as 432 which used the earlier flatter Guy cab.
The original colour scheme is well replicated and features like the spare wheel and tow hook are all incorporated. Although a simple model it had considerable play value with the flatbed easily loaded by the owner.
The cab glazing is nicely done though I suspect it is clearer than the original models would have been. The spray masking on the cab is an accurate reflection of the original model.
The wheels are the Supertoy type fitted to this model originally and the hook is painted body colour which is authentic.
This model keeps up the standard of this Trucks series. At the moment it has largely featured models which came from Binns Road with just a few French Dinky’s included.
Further observations on Atlas Customer service. They state that they will respond to web contacts within two days but in my experience they do not meet these targets. I suspect that their systems and staffing are simply not up to the levels needed to provide proper customer service.
